About Us
Our whole
family, Joe Brenda and eight children, are all involved with
breeding our Golden Retriever Puppies. From whelping
to meeting prospective owners, the puppies are hand raised
in a loving environment with regular interactions with
children of all ages. We even assist with the nursing the
first two weeks to ensure that all the puppies have good
milk (and therefore nutrition). Because of this our puppies
are very well socialized and healthy. We also leave them
with the mother until you come and get them.
We have 36
acres and a pond that our dogs have access to. So the adult
dogs get lots of exercise and playtime with our children.
As the puppies start to wean, around 4 weeks old, we bring
them up from the house and allow them to play outside
(weather permitting). The fresh are and exercise reduces
the possibilities of parvo or pneumonia in the puppies and
helps develop good muscle tone.

Types of Breeders
We are what the
the Golden Retriever Club of America refers to as a
serious hobby breeder. In a discussion of of all
the breeder choices you have in finding a puppy, the GRCA
states on their web site...
SERIOUS HOBBY
BREEDER.
The very best
choice. The serious and dedicated hobby breeder regards
his/her dogs as even more than a hobby, although the
true fancier does not expect to make a profit. When
someone is involved in dogs for the enjoyment of each
individual animal, for participating in any of the many
aspects of dogsport, and for producing the finest
animals possible, the results are SUPERIOR. The best
breeders acknowledge responsibility for each and every
puppy produced, and stand behind every dog they have
bred.
Unequivocally,
your choice should be from the ranks of the SERIOUS
HOBBY BREEDER. It is an interesting fact that poor
quality puppies from pet shops and backyard breeders are
often sold for the same price and sometimes even more
than those purchased from the experienced hobby breeder.
And we could
not agree more! |
